Excellent links there -- not a Firecat -- but very interesting and useful nonetheless.

I have taken a few days off work (as the missus has a few days off also and thought it would be nice to spend a few days together while the nipper was at nursery) this morning I spent poking around the Firecat --- and have finally decided on a body off rebuild ---- and spent the whole of the afternoon reading Dave Bence's Firefox Build Diary !!!! I am not in her good books !!!! :eye:

Hi Paul. Sorry, it's been a while since you kindly posted!!! I haven't been online much of late

I managed to get myself a copy, thanks for the offer though.

Which Firecat did you recently acquire then? Apperently there were around 100 made, I have managed to track down a few, but only a handful.

Haven't managed to get anywhere with my resto .... making a herculean effort to clear the garage this week .... been toying with selling her on, due to the lack of time .... but, we shall see :)

Hi again Count, I got mine via eBay just before Christmas. There are a couple of pics in the Onyx Firecat section. The sump was cracked, another forum member has located one for me. A number of other bits and bobs to do yet, with the weather, dark nights and work, have hardly had time to have a thorough look round her yet. I saw your pictures, have you got round to paint stripping your engine yet?

Ha ... that bl**dy blue engine !!! :smurf:

Have bought myself a small soda blaster, but haven't given it a go yet ( have to run a lead out for the compressor --- not a safe thing to do in the constant rain we are getting !!! ... and far too cold in the snow!!). Once I have a try ( if it works) I will post pics of the results.
